+500 Reputation to NPC.

Hey, remember last time and I said I had nothing really to say about the comic? Well I got lots to say today!

Now this topic, I know, has been touched upon by several people before me, most of which with more [missing noun] than me, but I still would like to put my own touch on the subject. WoW fetch quests, what the fuck?

Now I say WoW 'cause that happens to be the game I personally play, but anyone who has played an MMORPG or even regualer RPGs nowadays knows what I'm talking about. An NPC will send you on a quest to find X amount of a certain item, and they drop off of Y creature. Problem is, Y doesn't always drop X, which sometimes is fine. If the item happens to be some type of super secret plans it makes sense that not every elf, or orc, or goblin happens to have them on them, but when the item you're after is a body part, well then sometimes things just get illogical.

The one quest I think of in particular is in Darkshire when you're asked to find 30 skeleton fingers, that sounds easy enough, logic and math says each skeleton has 10 fingers, so the get the 30 I need, I need to kill 3 skeletons, right? Wrong! Some skeletons drops 2 or 3, some drop none, not to mention all the Goretusks in Westfall without livers and the Zhevras in The Barrens running around without any hooves.

Also I'd like to point out that I have never understood why in WoW when an NPC has a quest to give you they have an exclamation mark over their head and when you complete the quest they have a question mark. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean they're sending you on a "quest" in other words they have a "quest"ion for you. Then when you finish the quest the should then have the exclamation mark cause they're all like, "Sweet the 18 Troll ears I asked for!!11!!!ONE!!!Exclamation Mark!"

But oh well, for whatever reason that's what Uncle Blizz decided to do and from now on millions of gamers will forever recognize a floating exclamation mark over someone's head as a sign that they have some trivial task for you to accomplish. Either that or your cover just got blown, run Snake run! Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
