Today I begin a new ambitious storyline, one a few of my readers have known was in the works for some time, but I saved it until now to mark the beginning of the second year of Kickass McAwesome. That storyline being The Healer Fight.
A little bit of clarification for those of you who do not play World of Warcraft. There are four classes in WoW that can fit the role of a healer, Druid, Shaman, Paladin and Priest. I myself play a priest, which is fundementally different from every other healing class in the game. Each class has three seperate and distinct talent trees. Druids, have Restoration for healing, Shamans also have a Restoration tree, and Paladins have Holy. Now these three healing builds can differ a bit from player to player, but all in all Each of these three classes has a set unchanging style of healing. Where Priests differ from the other three healing classes is that Priests don't have a single talent tree built for healing, they have two, Holy and Discipline. Each tree, dispite that fact they designed to do the same thing play very differently from each other.
I myself play a Holy Priest, and from my personal experience it's the least played Healing build for a Priest. This has led to a running gag with the people I raid with, that whenever we wipe, it's either Ibi's fault (and it usually is :P) or we would have made it if Dani was Disc spec. This has led to a bit of a friendly rivalry between me and the other Priests out there, namely Confess, over with is the superior build.
So now I present to you a dramatization of the various exchanges Confess and I have had on the subject. I present to you, Healer Fight.
