Things are starting to wind down now in this here Healer Fight, OR ARE THEY!
Truth of the matter is Discipline and Holy aren't meant to be used for dealing damage, they are for healing and healing alone. They may have a few damaging spells, but they're simply there for the poor fools, like me, who choose for whatever reason to not level with a Shadow spec. Case and point back in the day elemental specific damage gear sets were all the rage. Mages could piece together a set of armor to increase their Fire, Frost or Arcane damage, Warlocks, Fire and Shadow, Druids, Nature, and so on and so forth. Shadow Priests could also make a set of armor to increase their Shadow power, but there was no such thing as a Holy damage set. In fact for whatever reason the game doesn't even consider Holy a real Element. Fire, Frost, Arcane, Nature and Shadow, all these elements have gear that either raise their effectiveness in battle, or increase your defense against them. It's quite a conundrum that Holy isn't represented at all.
So what exactly does this mean? Simply put Blizzard never intended for Holy to be and element used in battle, either wielded by you, or your enemies, and this simple truth is the reason why healer fights are some damn long and drawn out.
On a side note I'm going to be going on a fishing trip to Lake Ontario next week. This should effect my work schedule, but as I don't really know if I'll have internet access it very may well effect the time I post next weeks comics, that being said don't be surprised if Wednesday's comic gets posted early Tuesday, and Friday's comic might be pushed back until late Friday night.
