Good Thing the Celtics Won, It Makes this Comic Work Better.

October 27, 2010

Now I would consider myself a gamer, I'm sure there is no arguement there. Gamers enjoy games of course, mostly video, but also board and card. Gamers also tend to have an affinity to Sci fi and fantasy fiction. We are more prone to have items displayed in our homes that people may call "toys," while we all know that they're really "collectables." The point I'm trying to make is that Gamers have several traits that while aren't universal among all Gamers, are still accepted traits. One trait however that seems to not be a typical Gamer trait is watching sports. Well I like sports damn it, and today's comic is almost completely sport related.

For those of you who don't know, and I assume that almost all of you, in basketball typically each team has a star player, i.e. Michael Jordan. Teams may have other key players that do fairly well, but it's generally thought that without that star player elevating them they wouldn't be as successful, i.e. Scottie Pippin in the years without Michael Jordan. In the offseason this year, star players Lebron James and Chris Bosh left their respective teams to join other star player Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat to make some sort of a super team. Ever since this trade went down sports media outlets across the country have praised this three headed beast as the hands down favorite, no other team stands a chance this year. Well guess what, last night was the season opener, and my Boston Celtics wiped their ass.

Friday's comic will be more nerdular in theme, promise.

Also. In 26 days it returns.
