So apparently Microsoft is already planning on the successor to the Kinect. According to this article the new Kinect's camera will be so sensative it'll be ablt to do fantastical things such as read lips and can measure facial emotional responce, that coupled with the fact it will be able to measure the pitch, tone and inflection of your voice, it can pretty much read your emotions. What does this mean? Something. Will this be used in future games? Probably. Will it be fullying emraced by the gaming community? No, no it won't. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for the evolution of gaming, but I really don't see motion gaming moving past the casual market. The hardcore community, and it's games will always use traditional controllers. They mayy have motion control options, but the controller will always be the weapon of choice.
