This Might be Sega's Way of Saying They Don't Want to Make Episode 3.

Sonic fans are notoriously picky, for whatever reason they love to bitch about any and all changes to Sonic games. For the most part I can understand, Sonic has deviated greatly from the gameplay style I enjoyed so much as a kid, but conplaining about eye color and leg length is a bit much. It's because of this I find it odd that Sonic Team has said that the chance of them making a third episode to Sonic 4 will depend on fan reaction to Sonic 4: Episode 2.

They do realize that their fans will bitch about everything right? And even though Sonic 4: Episode 1 sold rather well the "fans" nitpicked it to hell. Now I've said before that I liked Sonic 4: Episode 1. The slight problems with the physics are so insignificant, that they only bother people looking for problems, and I could give a shit that Sonic's eyes are green, or his legs are longer than they were in the Genesis games. As for the homing attack, I love it. It's a fine addition to the gameplay, and anyone who says otherwise is a hypocritical asshole. The spindash move wasn't added until Sonic 2, and going back to play the original game it just feels odd not having that infinitely useful move. More to the point, play the modern Sonic levels in Sonic Generations, then go to the Classic Sonic levels and tell me you don't fuck up a couple of jumps because you forgot Classic Sonic can't use the homing attack.
