Seriously Facebook, come on. Why the fuck isn't there a dislike button? I get it, little Billy Emoface might post about his life and the entire school might all agree to dislike his life, then Billy might go shoot up the school the next day. I get it, you don't want people to be able to pass blame on to you if a situation like that might happen, but there's a lot of mights in that situation, and any blame on your side would be a massive cop out and completely missing the point. Cyber bullying on Facebook is going to happen. It does happen, even without a dislike button.
The like button is nice, it serves it's purpose. If my friend posts something, and I don't feel like writing a full comment about it, but still want to support them, I click the like button. However that doesn't work for every situation. In fact in curtain situations the like button could be down right evil. Let's go back to littly Billy Emoface again. Let's say Billy might have a puppy, and let's say his puppy might get run over, and then Billy might post about it. The school as a whole might deside to like this, pretty much saying, haha, I'm glad you puppy's dead. Well Billy might go shoot up the school. Again, there's a lot of mights in that situation, but it's a situation in which the way Facebook is currently set up could happen.
Just like when a friend posts something positive and I support them with a like, if they post something negative a dislike can be just as supportive. Get off your collective billionaire ass Facebook and make it fucking happen!
