Console Wars: Project Natal.

January 15, 2010

So yeah, back on Monday I said something about trying to cut back on making such graphics-intensive comics. Some of the characters in these comics, from pencil sketch to inking then to coloring, can take up to five hours to complete. Today's comic, however, took about ten minutes to make. Why is that? 'Cause I didn't draw a single thing!

Today's comic is about the recent Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Microsoft's presentation of Project Natal, Microsoft's bid into the realm of motion controlled games. Appearently a camera hooked up to the XBox 360 registers your body and monitors your movement. The movements you make then control the action on screen. Sounds awesome! In theory, will it work in practice? Who knows. Let's just hope they do better than Tonk Hawk: Ride did.
