Well folks the 3DS is out and causing glee and delight among the gaming masses, also minor eyestrain, but I digress. I do not have a 3DS as of yet, but I will definitely be picking one up when the Zelda and Mario games come out. The launch titles are just a little, underwhelming. The one game I’d have to most interest in is Super Street Fighter IV, but I already have that for the 360. So I’ll just hold off my purchase until Nintendo’s traditional killer apps come out. Hopefully one will be available then.
I however have gotten my hands on one. I Played one at PAX East, and yeah the 3D worked, I was skeptical about that, seeing that all other forms of 3D don’t work for my messed up eyes. However it wasn’t perfect. When I turned the 3D on I found the graphics that popped out looked fuzzy and has wavy lines running through it, like it was having progressive scan problems. I shrugged it off, thinking it was my messed up eyes to blame, but my friend said the same thing. The best thing Nintendo did was put the 3D on a slider, so each individual playing can choose the level of 3D they’ll be using. I’m just gonna say this now, I will likely be using none.
