So one thing I've learned that I have to deal with is that certain gamers feel that they are entitled to certain things and hate paying for anything extra, and when they feel that they are being wronged they'll do their favorite thing in the entire world. Go on a forum and bitch and troll to anyone who'll listen.
Today I'm talking about Dead Rising 2: Case 0. Its a stand alone DLC game for the upcoming Dead Rising 2, which comes out at the end of the month. The thing these certain gamers are bitching about is that they feel this is just a demo that you have to pay for to play, and here is how they are wrong in many, many ways.
1. You could spend about four or more hours doing everything Case 0 has to offer.
2. Since there are hours of gameplay you can actually save your progress.
3. The are 200 gamer points of achievements, just like a normal XBox Live Arcade game.
4. Character progress made in Case 0 can be transfered to Dead Rising 2 when it comes out.
5. There's an actual free demo for Case 0.
6. They're morons.
These people are the same people that wanted to boycott Left 4 Dead 2, cause they felt that since it used the same engine as the original it should have been released as DLC instead of a normal retail game. Then again I don't think that boycott went anywhere since Left 4 Dead 2 made over 2.9 million dollars in revenue so far. The same holds true for Dead Rising 2: Case 0 since it has broken the XBox Live Arcade record for the most revenue made in its first week with over $1.15 million in sales, and seeing that the game only costs five dollars atleast 230,000 people have bought this game, numbers I'm sure Capcom is more than pleased with.
