A Moment With Brad: Just a Little Consistancy.

September 7, 2012

Hey, it's a new Moment With Brad!, oh boy, you love thems! Everyone loves them! I WILL MAKE YOU LOVE THEM! Anywho, while I write 99.999450245% of the material on the site from time to time I do consult friends, in the case of this comic I talked it over with real world Brad, and he shares the sentiment of this comic. Apparently real world Brad does some sort of costumer service and data entry, so at his work desk on one hand he has a phone pad for dialing, and on the other side he has a computational number pad for data entry, and from going back and forth between the two constantly it does cause a mix up every once and a while.

I really have no idea why it is the way it is. I did a little research on the matter, and even the total combined knowledge of the interwebs can come to a concensus on the reason why the number pads are different. All I know is the computational style has existed since at least the early 1940's, so blame Bell Labratories and their first touch tone phone for it. They ruined everything.
