Reality, The Rules Need Not Apply.

September 10, 2012

If you haven't noticed while I attempt to hold the comic to a constant continuity the rules of reality are totally up for grabs, and with characters like Altaïr and especially NPC the rules of reality , like the name of the comic suggests, need not apply.

Anywho now for something completely different.

Lots of webcomics now a days are using sites like Kickstarter, or IndieGoGo to help found some projects they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford themselves. Some of them succeed, some of them fail, and some of them utterly, utterly fail. I have seen tons of creators that for some reason think their comic is the next best thing, start a Kickstarter campaign and come no where close to their actual goal. I'm not one of those people, but I have been thinking of doing something in the vein of a Kickstarter campaign. In a Kickstarter you ask people to donate money to your cause, and depending on how much money they donate they receive a prize, now Kickass McAwesome is no where near the popularity to expect people to donate money to the website, but I think I can do something else. Another aspect of Kickstarter campaigns are "flex goals" predetermined amounts of money that if the total of all the money donated reaches that level the people running the campaign will add additional bonuses for everyone to enjoy, like Penny Arcade using additional donations to fund a new season of their online reality show, or the new Double Fine Adventure Game having full voice acting, but I digress. There is a way for me to have flex goals for you guys without making an actual Kickstarter.

That being said I present to you the Kickass McAwesome, At Least Like Us on Facebook Campaign! The goal of the campaign is to help spread awareness of the comic and hopefully grow the audience, and like the flex goals of Kickstarter campaigns the At Least Like Us on Facebook Campaign will have flex goals when we reach a certain amount of likes of Facebook, with the ultimate goal of actually starting a Kickstarter campaign. If the Kickass McAwesome Facebook Fan Page gets over 2000 likes then I will start a Kickstarter campaign to print a book containing the first year of Kickass McAwesome comics. So get online, tell your friends and go to Facebook and like you some Kickass McAwesome.
