Indevan's Magical Adventure.

September 25, 2012

Oh man, this is pretty much the latest I've ever been posting a comic, fortunately I'm only disappointing like twenty people. Anywho here it is, a World of Warcraft comic. Unfortunately the lateness this post kind of weakens the comic slightly, in that it's supposed to be for the last day before the Mists of Panderia expansion comes out, which is a bit of a moot point seeing as it came out today, but whatever.

The core of the comic is about the character of Indevan, more accurately the character Indevan has become. While the character od Daniellena is based on the character I play in WoW, the supporting characters in the WoW comics are based on other players from my guild. For the most part these characters are in a rotation, and the only one who actually is listed in the character page is Kelsin, as unlike all the other players in the guild I know him personally. Then again I have a bit of another reason for this. Back when Kelsin still lived in Massachusetts we recorded a few parody and comedy I had written, mostly WoW related stuff. One of the song I wrote was bit of an anthem for the guild, in which the lyrics included a bit of a role call of the prominent members in the guild. We never recorded that song, and in a way I'm glad, cause about two months after I wrote that song, all but one of the players named in the song quit the game. So yeah that may have something to do with it.

However I've been thinking lately, perhaps I should make these official characters. I mean from a writting viewpoint it would be more beneficial for me to use a steady stable of characters rather than rotating in whoever is current in the guild, and rotating out anyone who hasn't been playing lately, or left the guild altogether. By keeping a set few of characters I might hurt the feelings of some of my guildmates who might want to be in the comic too, but by only having a few I can develop them into actual characters, instead of just plugging in whoever in the comic to give Dani someone to bounce ideas off of.

This brings me back to Indevan, again, more accurately the chatacter he has become. He's been in the comic a few times now, and lately after Dani he is the most featured character, that and he's done something none of the other characters previously included in the WoW comics have before, have a fleshed out character and personality. So yeah, I think I'm going to go ahead and make Indevan an official character. So yeah, Earn this Indy, and please don't quit the game in a few months.
